You are Back to Normal Universe

By observing the stars at a distance were dimmer than nearby stars, you found your way back to the normal universe. The other choice took you to a universe where light did not fall off as the square of the distance, doubtless a strange place that Isaac Asimov could have written a compelling story about.

Unfortunately, it took you enough time to find your way back to the normal universe that The Bad Guys managed to escape again, but they will likely show up later to cause you more difficulties.

This gives you some time to reflect on your experience. Your first choice was between two starfields:

We knew something was wrong with the upper universe because we can identify structure from motion. The periodic motion in the upper universe suggested that the fabric of space was bent in an unpleasant way.
